Hi
I was plying some of the card gmes. My main focus was hi-lo. So, my question was, what are the rankings of the cards? Also, is there any strategys for hi-lo? I lost a lot of points on that. I know that 2s are lowest, so I should probably guess higher, and aces are highest, so guess lower, but what about middle cards? Thanks all

It's a simple game of chance. There are no hard and fast rules for it. I don't play much anymore, but when I did I tended to bet higher if the card I had was a six or lower and would bet low if the card I had was a seven or higher. But just because that's the way I played, that doesn't mean it's what you have to do. And of course, you always have the choice of guessing the next card will be the same. I'm sure some card shark could give you the odds on that happening, but I'm not a card shark. It's just a game for fun.

Thanks so much
But, how do the special cards rank? Do the suites have anysthin to do with the odds?

I'm not sure what you mean by special cards. And no, I don't believe the suits have anything to do with the odds.

Hi
Sorry I was not clear. Special cards are like: dack, king, queen, so on. Thanks

In the case of hi-lo, a jack is higher than a 10, a queen is higher than a jack, and a king is higher than a queen. So if I got any of those cards I would bet that the next card would be lower. An ace is the highest you can get, so again bet that the next card will either be lower or the same if you want, but personally I never bet it will be the same even though that does happen sometimes. Now in the case of blackjack, an ace can be considered either a 1 or 11, and you make your bet according to the rest of your hand. You can probably do a google search for blackjack rules.

The closer you get to each end of the spectrum, the better your chances will be if you bet the opposite. For example, say you get a four. In this case, thinking in terms of probability your best bet would be to bet higher. However, the likelyhood is slightly lower of you winning because it is not as low as a two. It is rare that you get the same card, and I believe there was one time I felt like winging it by going with the same number and winning. Seven, eight, nine and ten are hardest to bet. I'd say fifty percent of the time I go against probability and the other fifty I go with it when it comes to a eight or a nine.
